Thumbnail Ethical Guide
Seeing the
film HANNAH (Arendt), I was reminded of a television program where
three offspring of Holocaust survivors had arrived at a good thumbnail ethical
guide. Grim realists, they qualified each statement with "Try":
Try
to never be a perpetrator.
Try
to never be merely a witness.
Try to never be a victim.
